Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center!
The Biophilia Center educates over 6,000 students from the five surrounding school districts each year.  We serve as a hands-on, project-based science learning facility for the local school systems.  As we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteers are very important members of our team!

Our wonderful volunteers work with students and help educate the 4th and 7th graders that visit us each day on STEM topics.  They lead classes in our Exhibit Hall and Lab, as well as in the reptile and amphibian room.  They help keep our grounds pristine and our gardens beautiful.  They help build and maintain our animal enclosures, boardwalks, and other campus structures.  They answer phones and assist with events.  If you have time and ability you're willing to share, we encourage you to become a part of our team!

At the Biophilia Center, we work hard, but we have a lot of fun too!  Being part of the team is an incredibly rewarding experience.  Every visit to the Biophilia Center brings delight and surprise.  Whether it's seeing a child's eyes light up while holding a reptile for the first time or discovering Whip-poor-will eggs while on a hike through Nokuse Plantation or bonding with our campus dog Einstein, we promise you'll go home each day feeling enriched and fulfilled.
Thanks again for your interest!  We can't wait to meet you!
