OUR MISSION
Sustainability Mindset
The E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center not only teaches sustainability, we practice it through composting organic waste, utilizing recycled-content products, reducing plastic use through reusable and eco-friendly alternatives, and minimizing overall waste. We prioritize responsible sourcing, energy and water conservation, and environmentally conscious operations to reduce our environmental impact and support a more sustainable future.
Academic Study
Dr. Michael Dentzau, graduate of Columbus State University, conducted educational research on the E.O.Wilson Biophilia Center's environmental education programs. His study showed significant growth in the understanding of specific essential components, scientific processes, and the flora and fauna of the long leaf pine ecosystem.
