Starting September 4th, the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center is open to everyone, every Friday, year-round! From 9AM to 2PM, every Friday of the year, we welcome the public to explore our campus, meet our ambassador animals, and discover the incredible natural world of the Florida Panhandle.
Whether you're a lifelong nature lover or visiting for the very first time, there's something here for every age and every curiosity. Walk our trails through the longleaf pine forest, step inside our interactive exhibits, and experience the kind of hands-on learning that you simply can't get anywhere else.
What to Expect Each visit includes access to our indoor exhibits, trail system, and ambassador animal habitats. Activities and animal interactions vary by day, so every visit is a little different, and there's always something new to discover.

No reservations required, just show up ready to explore! We recommend comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Don't forget sunscreen and a water bottle for the trails.
Visit Often? Consider Membership If you're planning to visit regularly, a Bio-Membership is the better value: every tier breaks even in just 3 to 4 Friday visits, and after that, every visit is essentially free. Membership also includes free entry to Earth Day Expo and Night Hike, our monthly newsletter, and 15% off at the gift shop and Naturalists' Club.

On Fridays, families can add a guided backstage experience to their visit for an intimate, up-close look at how we care for our ambassador animals and manage our programs. Space is extremely limited — add this experience to your Friday visit when you arrive or book in advance.

Public Fridays are also a great option for school groups outside of our standard 4th and 7th grade programming. Bring your class out to explore our trails, exhibits, and ambassador animal habitats through the same self-guided experience available to the public that day.
